The Saline Area Historical Society invites you to Harvest Time at the Farm, from noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Rentschler Farm Museum, located at 1265 E. Michigan Ave. in Saline.
The annual event features all of the traditional activities, including old-time children's games, wagon rides, pumpkin painting and more.
Guests are invited to tour the farm museum, barns, gift shop and gardens. People can also visit the farm's animals - including chickens, sheep and a calf.
There will also be antique tractors, crafters and demonstrations.
At 2 p.m., the historical society will dedicate the "Old Maud" exhibit in the front yard. The exhibit is made from old rail tracks found when Michigan Avenue was torn up during the recent construction project. The tracks connected Saline to Ypsilanti in the early 20th century. Old Maud was the nickname for the streetcar that served Saline, carrying passengers and goods.
The Saline Area Players will also be back in the upper hay barn with two presentations of The Truthful Tall Tale. Showtimes are at 1 and 3 p.m.
Saline Lions and Saline Kiwanis will have food trucks on site.
The event is free, though the historical society suggests a $1 donation from adults.
