The Rentschler Farm Museum, located at 1265 E. Michigan Avenue in Saline, Michigan, will again host multiple vendor booths for the 2018 Michigan’s Longest Garage Sale on Friday August 10 and Saturday, August 11.
As an 11th year participant in the enormous event which stretches from Wayne County all the way across 180+ miles to Berrien County, the Community Yard Sale at the Rentschler Farm is very popular with visitors and shoppers from all over the state!
The sale is organized by the Saline Area Historical Society (SAHS) as a fundraiser to support on-going museum operations and activities. The SAHS welcomes antique dealers, vendors, and crafters as well as typical garage sale booths and will also open their Salvage Barn and Gift Shop for shoppers.
Shoppers will be delighted with the variety of items available in the vendor booths including antiques, collectibles, furniture, tableware, fresh garden produce, honey, jams, furniture, handcrafted items, specialty foods and all sorts of vintage treasures, including salvaged items such as tools.
The Farm Museum buildings will not be open during the event but visitors are encouraged to return during regular open hours on Saturdays from 11am to 4pm May through October. Parking and entrance for the Community Yard Sale at Rentschler Farm are free, but of course, donations are always appreciated! In addition to the Community Yard Sale at Rentschler Farm, the Saline Summerfest event will also be happening in Downtown Saline on August 10 and 11 with music, art fair, car show, kids activities and much more!
