The Rotary Club of Saline presents the 2019 Oakwood Cemetery Enactment Tour from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday. Oakwood Cemetery is located at the corner of Monroe Street and Michigan Avenue

Tickets for the event are $12. Children 12 and under have free admission. The event was originally scheduled for last week but postponed due to rain.

Guests will tour the cemetery and stop at gravestones where actors and volunteers will portray people interred at the city-owned cemetery.

Among those residents profiled this year are:

  • Dr. James Wallace and his wife Margaret. He was overseer of the cemetery.
  • Nancy Martin Morris, who had 10 children and was nominated as Michigan Mother of the Year in 1948.
  • Eliza Ball, who, with husband Thaddeus, gave hypnotism demonstrations at their home.
  • WM Henry Shaw, a Civil War soldier who went into the Nursing Corp.
  • Cornelius Parson, a successful business owner who still has family in the area.
