Roth wrote the book in conjunction with Saline’s celebration of its sesquicentennial anniversary.

A 335 page publication, Saline: Our City, The Beginning to 2016 is an intriguing compilation of the history and events of Saline and surrounding areas from the Ice Age to the present. It is an exciting collection of history gathered from multiple sources and contributors…from mammoths to industry, education, government, architecture, influence of the railroad, etc.

It includes the history of the Saline Fair, multiple service organizations, churches, Saline’s Centennial Celebration in 1966, and much more.

Biographical information about Orange Risdon, Saline’s founder and many other influential people who made major contributions to Saline’s development is highlighted. The softcover book is full of black and white and color photographs to highlight the many pieces of Saline’s rich history.
