Learn about Mark Twain's travels in Michigan and other events in his life with historians Al and Dave Eicher on Thursday, December 8, from 7-8 pm at Saline District Library. Based on details from Twain's diary, he came to Michigan with his wife and daughter and business manager during his World Tour in the 1880s. The diary provides interesting comments about the St. Clair Flats and sites along the way to Mackinac Island and other parts of Michigan. This presentation, which includes over 150 photos, presents a timeline of events in his family life, including his early childhood in the 1850s.
