Norman Gladych Was a Lab Technician at Federal Mogul for 43 Years

Norman Jude Gladych, 82, of Saline, Michigan passed away peacefully on November 23, 2019 with family by his side. 

Norman was born in Detroit on April 22, 1937 to the late Albert J. Gladych and Helen (Glanc) Gladych.  

On October 29, 1964 he married Theresa Elaine Kubik.  Norman is survived by his wife, Theresa; three daughters, Kathryn (Scott) Machniak of Adrian, Chris Gladych of Ypsilanti, and Yvonne (John) Machniak of Saline; five grandchildren, Matthew (Jana) Machniak, Sarah Machniak, Andrea Machniak, Anthony (Sarah) Machniak, and Emily Machniak; and three great-grandchildren, Abigail Machniak, Benaiah Machniak and Caleb Machniak.  He is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Phyllis Camille Bery, and Terrance Gladych.  

Norman was retired from Federal Mogul after 43 years as a lab technician.  He loved spending time with his family.  Norm was a Ham Radio operator, enjoyed the Mackinaw area, lighthouses, and watching boats and freighters on the Great Lakes.  He was also an active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Bible studies, and men’s groups.  He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus for over 60 years.  

A Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saline with visiting hours starting at 10:00 A.M. Friends may also join the family for a time of visitation on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Norman’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Foundation for the Blind.
