Barbara Graf, Raised 4 Children, Co-Owned Saline Hardware Store

Barbara Jean (Schmidt) Graf passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Saline Evangelical Home after a lengthy illness.

She was born on February 11, 1930 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Roy Schmidt and Lauretta (Lirette) Schmidt Wirth. She attended and graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1948. On December 2, 1950, she married Gerald L. Graf and they moved to Saline, Michigan where she would live the rest of her life.

She raised four children Mike, Rick, Linda and Nancie, and along with her husband owned Graf’s Gulf Service and Westside Hardware until her retirement in 1993.

She is survived by her son Rick (Robin) of Saugus, CA; Linda Chadwick of Brighton, MI; and Nancie Sidiropoulos of Round Hill, VA. She is also survived by grandchildren, Sara and Beth Graf, Kelly (John) Dove, Kevin Graf, Thomas (Megan) Chadwick, Alexandra Chadwick and Sara Sidiropoulos. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Mike, and son-in-law Tony Sidiropoulos.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline with Deacon Paul Ellis from St. Andrew Catholic Church presiding. Visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Barbara loved animals, and she is survived by one of her beloved cats Ali.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Huron Valley Humane Society or an animal rescue of your choice and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
