MANTON- William “Bill” Ray George, 71, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2018 with his loving wife and children by his side.  He was born on October 21, 1946 to the late Oscar L. and May A. (Pullou) George in Monroe, Michigan.

Bill is survived by his wife, Dee George; daughters, Heather (Morley) Oerther and Kimberly (Chris) Callison; step-children, Sherry Preston, Donna (Patrick) Blanchard and Dennis (Michelle) Price; grandchildren, Joel, Ashley, Piper, Mickey, Blake, Owen and Neven; siblings, Tom (Mary) George, Randy (Cindy) George and Sue (Douglas) Paschall; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bill was passionate about his family, sports and the outdoors.  He graduated from Willow Run High School in 1964 and served as a captain for his baseball and football teams.  He was especially proud of winning the state football championship his senior year.

After graduation, Bill completed multiple apprenticeships for The Ford Motor Company in Saline, Michigan and retired as a Tool Room Supervisor after thirty-six years of service.  

Upon retirement, Bill and Dee enjoyed traveling together and eventually began spending their summers in Manton, Michigan and their winters in Ixtapa, Mexico where they enjoyed their relationships with many dear friends.  

Please save the date and join us for a “Celebration of Life Fish Fry” to honor Bill and the things that he loved about life.  It is planned for June 22, 2019 at 186 Nadeau Rd., Monroe, MI 48162 at 2:00 p.m.
