David Carlton, of Saline, Loved Boating on the Indian River

David Lee Carlton, age 69, of Saline, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at this home.

He was born in Saline, MI on February 16, 1949, the son of Ray Marvin and Eleanor Bertha (Becht) Carlton.

David attended Saline High School and graduated in the class of 1967. He was a member of the Saline Jaycees, the Saline American Legion Post #322, and was a lifelong boater. His favorite place to boat was on the Indian River in Michigan.

Survivors include his partner of 25 wonderful years Jackie McCullough, children Doug (Anita) Carlton, Georgiana (fiancé Rob Strader) Carlton, Jason McCollough, and Melissa McCullough. Other survivors include his grandchildren Zach Carlton, Hannah Carlton, Kris McCollough, Alyssa McCullough, Paris McCullough, and Brianna McCullough, sister Ellen (Ralph) Zwingman, and sister-in-law Mary Carlton.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Eleanor and his brother Dale Carlton. A Memorial Celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 at the Saline American Legion Post #322, 320 W. Michigan Avenue, Saline, MI 48176 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
