Don Benjamin Atwood of Saline, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, surrounded by his family at the age of 76.

He was born in Millington, Mich., to Chauncey and Alice Atwood on June 7, 1943. He graduated from Millington High School in 1961 and earned his Bachelors Degree in Finance from the Detroit College of Business in June of 1973.

He married Dianne Lynn Riel on February 13, 1965, at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church and was married for 54 years. Don worked for Ford Credit for 32 years and after retiring he went on to be a driver for 15 years with Varsity Ford in Ann Arbor.

Being surrounded by his family was one of his favorite things in life.  Don traveled all over the world and loved meeting and talking to everyone he met. He enjoyed playing games, Euchre was his favorite, and playing golf.

Don is survived by loving wife Dianne Lynn Riel; daughters Noelle (Steve) Bres of Saline, and Shannon (Jason) Black of Tallahassee, FL; four grandchildren Alexandra Bres, Jacob Bres, Ireland Black, and Sydney Black; brother David (Jill) Atwood and several nieces and nephews. Don is preceded by his parents, Chauncey and Alice Atwood and his sister Iva Mae Greenleaf.
