Doris Helen Ayers (Johnson), age 85, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Glacier Hills Senior Living Community in Ann Arbor, MI.

She was born December 19, 1934 in Parksville, KY.

Preceding her in death are her parents Hiram N. and Ida M. (Burger) Johnson, her siblings James, Albert, Oscar, Nathan, Charles, Lillie, Molly, and Betty. On December 26, 1953 in Jeffersonville, Ind., she married Luke Ayers who also preceded her in death on December 18, 2013. Doris retired from Edwards Brothers, in Ann Arbor as a Computer Programmer. Her main interest in life was her family.  

Survivors include their children Luke M. Ayers of Ypsilanti, MI, Donna R. (Philip) Hooton of St. Mary’s, GA, Diana L. (Robert) Wagner of Ypsilanti, MI, grandchildren Adam Ayers, Brandon Slaven, Jessica (Jehan) Burki, Christopher Hooton, Scott Hooton and Kelly (Derek) Miller, and great-grandchildren Eric and Ryan Slaven, and Ryder Miller and a sister, Shirley Giles of Florence, KY.
