Marlene Johann Corker 85, of Birmingham, Michigan passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2017 as a resident of the Saline Evangelical Home.
Marlene was born on May 9, 1932 to Truman S. Gagnon and Kathryn L. (Nicholson) Gagnon. On April 25, 1959 she married Richard C. Corker. Marlene is survived by her 2 sons Richard C. Corker II and his wife Donna Corker of Saline, Michigan, Michael E. Corker and his wife Renee Buxar Corker of Ballwin, Missouri. Seven grandchildren Kyle (Jennifer) Corker, Aaron (Alaina) Corker, Cory Corker, Chelsea (Jordan) Vahdat, Nolan Corker, Nicholas Corker, Noelle Corker. Four great-grandchildren Truman Corker, Georgiana Corker, Cruz Vahdat, Roman Corker and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Clifford and Shirley Gagnon.
Marlene worked as a bookkeeper in her early years, she worked at a lumber company and Encyclopedia Britannica, and she finished out her career at True Fabrication where she worked for her niece and nephew Elaine and Steve Stelkic. Marlene was a lover of music.
She loved Tony Bennett but also loved Pop music through the 80’s-90’s. She had a great sense of humor. While living in Saline Marlene attended Keystone Community Church.
Family will receive friends on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. immediately following the viewing. Rev. Joseph Gagnon and Pastor Frank Keene will be officiating.
