Matilda Rossi (Skiera), age 86, of Saline and formerly of White Lake, passed away at the Arbor Hospice Residence in Saline on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
She was born May 23, 1931 in Cheboygan, MI, the daughter of John and Sophie (Grubinski) Skiera. Matilda was the youngest of 11 siblings who all preceded her in death. She was raised on a farm in Cheboygan, Michigan.
Loving wife of Doro E. and mother of Michael who both preceded her in death.
Matilda is survived by her son Raymond (Mary) Rossi of San Diego, California, her daughter Colleen (Mark) Delicato of Saline, Michigan, grandchildren Donvan (Jennifer) Rossi, Deanna and Steven Delicato, great-grandchildren Chastity (Anthony) Tachiquin, Dominick, Santino and Michael, and one great-great-grandchild Anthony Jr. Matilda retired from Sears Roebuck. She loved planting her flowers, talking politics, and spending time with family. Matilda was loved by everyone she met in Saline. Matilda’s family wants to thank the caring staff at Arbor Hospice.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline. Burial will take place in the Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston, MI at a later date. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 5:00 P.M. Visitation will continue until 8:00 P.M. following the service. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to Arbor Hospice of Saline and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
