Loren Shook, 80, Loved Making Maple Syrup in the Family Business

Loren Allen Shook, age 80, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 in Saline, MI. He was born on June 29, 1939 in Almont, the son of Donald and Josephine (Behnke) Shook.

Loren was self-employed as an electrical contractor and farmer. He loved making pure maple syrup in Posen, Michigan under the Loren Shook & Family business. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring Porches, and spending time with the family. He was also a member of the Porsche Club of America, Maple Syrup Association, and National Rifle Association. Loren served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1965.

Survivors include his wife Linda Kay Shook, children Todd (Nancy) Shook, Terry (Beth) Shook, Alisa (Jim) Weatherbee, Todd (Brenda) Shook, Jason (Chrissie) Shook, grandchildren Kayla, Ryan, Lindsey, Taylor, Austin, Payton, Livvie, Lainey, Connor, Brianna, and Mayson. Other survivors include his siblings Forrest (Dee) Shook, Gloria Aldea, and Rosemary (Mike) Falter. He was preceded in death by his parents, numerous cousins, and long time friend Lany Beckington. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline, MI. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. A luncheon will follow the service and will take place at Christ Our King Lutheran Church in Saline.

Burial will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. in the Memphis Cemetery located in Memphis, MI.
