Memorial Gathering Thursday, Funeral Saturday for Shawn Macomber

Age 43, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Shawn was born on May 15, 1973 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Doug Macomber and Peggy Ann Webster Macomber (Al) Hogan, and they survive.

His many enjoyments began with his two wonderful children, his many friends, and his ability to help as many people as he could. He loved to ride anything fast, and to roast his hogs slow. Shawn could fix almost anything, and was a jack of all trades.

Survivors include his children Hailey Ray Macomber and Ryder Lee Macomber and their mother Shannon Lynn Mitchell. Other survivors include his siblings Kristie Lee Macomber, Matthew (Rasa) Douglas Macomber, Katie Amanda Macomber-Thompson, niece Makenzie Freeman, nephew Andrew Trout, step-niece Vivian Miller, step-niece Madison Thompson, grandfather Robert “Bob” R. Webster Jr., grandmother Alice Macomber, uncle Robert (Kelly) Webster, of Florida, uncle Bob (Jane) Macomber, aunt Diane (Tom) Amerman, and several cousins. 

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline with Pastor Robert White officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family, care of Peggy Hogan, for the purposes of establishing a college fund for Shawn’s children Hailey and Ryder. 

Envelopes will be available at the funeral home where friends may begin arriving from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 3:00 P.M. followed by a light snack. Casual dress is requested as that’s what Shawn would have wanted, guests are welcome to bring food. 

Additionally there will be a memorial gathering on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. at the Thompson Bar & Grill (the old Polar Bear) 10655 West Michigan Ave, Saline, MI 48176. Friends are encouraged to bring any pictures they have of Shawn.
