Memorial Service for Kay Michalke Saturday at First United Methodist Church

Saline, MI

Age 96, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Saline Evangelical Home in Saline, MI. Kay was born on June 6, 1920 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Arthur and Leatha (Flynn) Loewer.

On May 10, 1941 in Detroit, MI, she married Arthur Michalke and he preceded her in death in 1993. Survivors include her daughter Carol Ridge, grandson James (Wendy) Ridge, grandson Christopher Yuhasz, granddaughter Tamara Janus, great-granddaughters Danielle Ridge (Jeff Anderson), Devon (Cody) Servaes, Katrina Yuhasz (Hunter), Ella Ridge, Jaclyn Janus, Julie Janus and great-grandsons Joey Janus and Beckett Ridge. Other survivors include six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death in addition to her husband Arthur by her son Russell Michalke, daughter Gail McKaye, granddaughter Kimberly Yuhasz, and grandson Jeff Ridge. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the First United Methodist Church of Saline with Pastor Tom Zimmerman officiating. Memorial contributions in Kay’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Envelopes will be available at the church where friends may begin arriving from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon. A luncheon will follow the service at the Saline American Legion Post #322. Arrangements entrusted to the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline.
