A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline.

Patricia Vitale (Badour-Shaneyfelt) age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 23, 2019. Patricia was born on January 18, 1943 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Basil E. and Geraldine E. (Cobb) Badour.

She moved to Saline in 1951 when her parents purchased the Saline General Hospital, which they owned and operated for several years. Pat graduated from Saline High School class of 1960. Her career was spent at the University of Michigan, first in the payroll office and then later at the University Library. She retired from the College of Engineering, Deans Office in 1998.

In 1996 she married James Vitale and he preceded her in death in 2002. They enjoyed several years in northern Michigan at their homes. In 2004, she returned to her home in Saline so that she may enjoy time with her grandchildren, family and friends. In addition, she proudly volunteered with Arbor Hospice and the hearts program.

Patricia is survived by daughters Christine (Allen) Johnson of Ann Arbor, Beth (David) Renner of Manchester, and grandchildren Max and Sara Renner. She is also survived by her brother Philip of Scottsdale, Arizona, nieces, nephews, cousins, several dear friends, and Richard Shaneyfelt of Chelsea, former husband and father of her two daughters. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 P.M.
