 12/07/2017 - 23:04

Scott Klapper was a selfless man who touched countless lives in his brief 66 years.

Born January 12, 1951, Scott was called home on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, by our Heavenly Father after a four year brave battle with Leukemia.

In 1976 he married the love of his life Peggy Weissert and over the next 41 years built a beautiful life together.

Scott was extremely proud of his work, devoting over 40 years to the trades. He worked 25 years as a Plumber Pipefitter for Local 190 then he spent the next 14 years as the Training Coordinator leading the Apprenticeship Program. Scott rounded out his career as the ITP administrator at Washtenaw Community College. In 2015, he was awarded the "Martin P. Dirk in Lifetime Achievement Award."

Scott was a perfect combination of strength, kindness, and faithfulness. His legacy lives on in those who love him.

Scott is survived by his loving wife Peggy Klapper; his three very proud children; Kristi (Dan) Cundiff, Jeff (Jennifer) Klapper, and Kim (Craig) Voyer; seven adored grandchildren; Colton 13, Peyton 10, Noah 9, Mackenzie 7, Luke 4, Riley 3, and Brooks 2. Also survived by his sister Susan (Kevin) Ladd.
