Service for Erma Smead Saturday in Owosso

Erma May (Lulham) Smead, age 83, formerly of Owosso, Saline and Adrian, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, August 4, 2017. Most recently, Erma was a resident of Chestnut Fields in Muskegon, Michigan.

She was born May 24, 1934 in Falmouth, Michigan to Charles and Sylvia (Lauffer) Lulham. Erma was a registered nurse, an avid dog lover, huge Detroit Tigers fan and active member of Grace Bible Church in Owosso. She supported various charitable activities, particularly youth and animal associations.

She is survived by children Roger (Sandy) Smead of Fruitport, MI, Elizabeth (David) Aitken of Davison, MI and Darren (Moravia) Smead of Lawrenceville, GA; brothers Clifford (Joy) and Harold (Martha) Lulham; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her former husband and father of her children Wayne R. Smead; her daughter Yvonne R. Smead; her sister Betty Lou; two siblings who died in infancy, as well as her parents.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 am at Grace Bible Church, 201 Michigan Ave., Owosso, MI 48867 officiated by Pastor Jerry D. Walden. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at Grace Bible Church. Burial will follow at West Adrian Cemetery, Wolfcreek Hwy, Adrian, MI.

Memorial contributions may be made to Youth Haven Ranch or Grace Bible Church.
