Sally Ann Silcox, at the age of 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Sally was born on October 16, 1943 in Dexter, Michigan. Sally worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 years before her retirement in 2006.
Sally was known for her love of family; from zoo trips to family dinners to birthday parties, she was always there with a smile. The little ones always looked forward to birthday dinners, no matter whose birthday it was; because Nanny could be always be counted on to bring coloring books, crayons, and gum for them. Even the grand dogs got treats for every occasion. Sally loved the spring because she could plant her beautiful flowers and watch Tiger baseball with her best friend Polly. Sally will also be remembered for her generous heart. She always looked out for the people she loved.
She is survived by her children Darrell (Rhonda) Silcox and Debbie (Bobby) Lee; her grandchildren Heather Lee, D.J. Silcox, Dakota Young, Shawna Blazer and Justin (Ashley) Blazer; great grandchildren Savanna, Macy, Hayden and Gavin. Also survived by her siblings Lauri (Phil) Guenther, Eddie (Betsy) Minion and A.J. (Shirley) Minion. She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Lipps, brother Roy Curts, great grandson Kaden Silcox, and her parents Roy Curts and Geraldine Williams.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 12:00 noon, with a visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home, 301 E. Michigan Ave., Saline, MI 48176. Pastor Drexel Morton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sally’s name may be made to the Michigan Humane Society and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
