Shawn Pierre LaMonde, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on Saturday, April 6, 2019, after a battle with cancer. Shawn was born on August 12, 1972 to Ronald and Donna LaMonde.

He attended Deerfield Public Schools and Washtenaw Community College and became a Hydraulics’ Repairman at Ford Motor Company. He belonged to the Clinton Masonic Lodge, achieving the level of Worship Full Master, which he served in that capacity for one year. He had a passion for gardening, barbecuing, attending to his lawn at home and riding his motorcycle through the mountains of North Carolina. He recently became a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Tecumseh. 

He is survived by his wife Julie and their children Austin and Julianna as well as his two adult children, Kysha (Allison) Monahan and Kassandra LaMonde. Also survived by his mother Donna LaMonde, sister Danita (Joe) Krueger, brothers Craig LaMonde and Daniel LaMonde, sister/cousin Janette Entrikin (Summers), brother/cousin Thomas Entrikin, grandmother Dawn Postell, and mother-in-law Julie DeRossett.

He was preceded in death by his father Ronald J. LaMonde, his favorite uncle Lany Beckington and aunt Carol (Tom and Janette’s mother). Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. on Thursday until the time of the service at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the LaMonde Children’s educational fund and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
