On Friday, May 12, 2017, Jacque Lu Dunham of Saline, Michigan, died peacefully surrounded by her husband, family and friends.
In the autumn of 2004 Jacque was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. During her long treatment the nurses, PAs and medical assistants at the University of Michigan Cancer Center, Dr. Daniel Couriel and Dr. Craig Cole were all essential to her quality of life and care.The family also wish to thank Dr. Andrezj Jakubowiak and Dr. Linda Speegle for their medical care delivered with a special personal touch.
Jacque managed her disease in same way she lived her life, with grace and dignity. Jacque was a dedicated and tireless employee of the University of Michigan where at the end of her career she served as Director of Ceremonial and Presidential Events. She is survived by her husband Doug, her stepson Chris Dunham and brothers Larry (Kathy) Gardner and Gary (Kaala) Gardner, grandchildren, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Friends will be received at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M.
