Saline Police, aided by a  bomb-sniffing dog from the University of Michigan Police, searched a downtown building for a bomb Friday after a threatening phone call was made.

The call was made to Mac's Acadian Seafood Shack around 11:30 a.m.

"We called the police and they evacuated the buildings for  search," said Wally MacNeil, owner of Mac's Acadian Seafood Shack. "Better safe than sorry."

Saline Police Officer Chris Boulter said local police called for a K-9 unit from the University of Michigan Police. The buildings were searched and businesses re-opened a little after noon.

Mac's was one of several businesses evacuated. Latitude Learning, located above Mac's, was also cleared during the search.

MacNeil said the call was traced back to a number that was out of service. He said the number was routed from New York.
