Saline Man Arrested on Sexual Assault Allegation, Police Investigating

The Saline Police Department is investigating a reported sexual assault.

According to Crimemapping.com, the incident occurred on the 300 block of Clark Street at 6:40 p.m., Nov. 9.

Because the police department is still investigating, police are releasing few details.

According to a brief press release issued by the department, on Nov. 14  and adult female reported a sexual assault that occurred a few days prior. The incident happened after a “mutually agreed-upon” meeting, according to the statement. The suspect was an acquaintance of the victim, according to the police. The suspect was arrested.

Interim Chief Andrew Hartwig said the suspect is an adult male from Saline. The alleged assault took place in a vehicle in a parking lot.
