The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office announced this afternoon that deputies determined that a school bus driver was on official business when attempting to pick up a child in Ypsilanti Township this morning.
Around 7:20 a.m. the police received a call from someone complaining that a suspicious school bus attempted to pick up a child near Tyler and Buick in Ypsilanti Township. According to the original report spray paint covered the name of the school district. The child did not step on to the bus and the driver sped off.
With the help of the public, deputies located the bus and confirmed it belongs to a transportation company and in the process of normal business at the time of the complaint.

This morning at around 7:20am the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office received a call of a suspicious school bus in the area of Tyler and Buick in Ypsilanti Township. The district's name had been spray painted over and when the student did not get on the bus the driver sped off.
At this time deputies are working to locate and confirm if the bus is assigned to a particular district/school or what the drivers motives may have been.
