Saline High School band students raised $2,500 that promotes music among youth in Detroit.
Led by Director of Bands Nate Lampman, the Saline High School band students and parents raised $2,500 for Crescendo Detroit. The money was raised at two concerts. Lampman and a band parent then arranged a $2,500 matching grant from Toyota.
“$5,000 goes a long way in helping us give kids in the city access to quality arts programming. Thank you! This is amazing,” said Damien Crutcher, of Crescendo Detroit.
Crescendo Detroit is a neighborhood-based program that engages youth by utilizing intense music and dance programs that promote artistic excellence and character building.
