BASKETBALL: Saline Comeback Falls Short at Huron

Ella Stemmer scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Saline's comeback fell short in a 48-44 loss to host Ann Arbor Huron Monday.

Huron grabbed a 12-6 lead after the first quarter and held an eight-point lead at halftime and to start the fourth quarter.

Liz Sekerak scored seven points and had two rebounds and three steals.

Maddy Welch and Erin Reilly each scored four points, with Welch grabbing  two rebounds. Nicole Sweetland scored three points, had two rebounds and two steals. Kelsey Alexander and Steffi Bentley each scored two points, with Alexander adding four rebounds and four steals and Bentley grabbing six rebounds. Amera Boyd scored a point, had three rebounds and two assists.
