Bowling: Saline Battles Back to Defeat Tecumseh

Tanner Weidmeyer scored 258 to spark Saline's comeback against Tecumseh.

The Saline boys varsity bowling team battled back from an early deficit to defeat Tecumseh 17-13, Monday, at Maplewood Lanes.

Saline began the day by losing both Baker games. Down 10-0, seniors Tanner Weidmeyer, Drake Jones and Tristin Marion rallied the team to a gut-wrenching 17-3 victory in head-to-head play. Wiedmeyer sparked the team with a  score of 258 in the opener. Marion and Drake bowled games of 212 and 210 as Saline racked up 1,052 points. In the second game the team scored 1,014. Dallas Casey bowled a game of 241 and Marion, 235, and Jones, 214, also bowled well.

In the girls match, a young Saline team fell 30-0 to a strong Tecumseh team.
