BOWLING: Saline Boys and Girls Teams Pick Up Victories Against Skyline

The Saline girls and boys varsity bowling teams earned wins over Skyline at Maplewood Lanes Wednesday.

The boys turned in a 27.5-2.5 victory to improve to 3-1. The girls improved to 2-2 with a 22-8 victory.

On the boys' side, the Hornets swept the baker games to pick up 10 points.

Colin Mitchell led the Hornets in game one with a 201. Dallas Casey bowled a 190 for another win. Saline and Skyline split the head-to-heads, 2.5 to 2.5,  but the Hornets won the pin count, 879-776.

In game two, Casey bowled a 244. Mitchell (152), Nick Borgman (177),  Michael Kilbane  (156) and Jeff Pryor (142) also picked up individual victories as Saline took the pin count, 871-594, to sweep all 10 points.

On the girls side, Saline swept the baker games.

In the first game of match play, Regan Cox (169), Amanda Jedele (111), Tori Rishel (157) and Madison Shelton (160) each won their matches and Saline won the pin count, 704-528 as Saline earned nine points.

Cox (101), Amanda Norton (106) and Rishel (133) won their matches but Skyline won the pin count, 502-499, as the Eagles took seven of 10 points in the second game.
