Saline’s varsity boys’ lacrosse team improved to 3-0 with a 16-4 victory over Toledo St. John’s Friday at Saline High School.
Tanyr Krummenacher scored five goals and had five assists to pace the Hornets. Chris Peters scored the game’s first three goals and then added another. Davis Bruneau also scored four goals, including one that drew gasps from the audience. Bruneau was cutting in front of the opponent’s net. Everyone expected a hard, side-armed shot. He instead took a backhand shot, fooling everyone and beating the goalie.
Shane Winkelseth made eight stops for the Hornets.
