Saline senior Josh Brink shot his first hole-in-one on the seventh hole at Brookside to help Saline defeat Bedford 159-179 Wednesday.
Brinks shot a 33 to win the match and score the third lowest nine-hole score in Saline High School golf history. He became the fourth golfer in Saline history to record a hole-in-one.
Grant Terris, 41, Josh Finn, 42, and Jack Woods, 43, also finished in the scoring.
“What a great day for Josh Brinks and the Saline team. It was very exciting,” said Saline coach Debbie Williams-Hoak.
On Thursday, Saline lost to Skyline 157-154.
Tim Wageman shot 37 to tie for first place. His putt on the last hole lipped out, prevented him from reaching his goal, which was to shoot par for the round. Josh Finn shot 39 to finish third. Grant Terris shot 40. Matt Brown and Josh Brinks shot 41. Jack Woods scored 44.
Saline competes Saturday at East Lansing and The Legacy in Ottawa Lake.
