The Saline and Skyline track and field teams split Tuesday’s dual meet at Saline High School.
The Saline boys team won, 86-51, while the Skyline girls team won 73.5-63.5.
Eric Harris cleared 15-05 to win the pole vault and break his own Saline High School record (15-03.5). Harris also won the long jump, leaping 21-01.
Winford Walker was also double winner, taking the 200 meter sprint in 22.83 seconds and 400 meters event in 52.72.
Senior Anthony DeKraker won the 800 meters in 1:59.57. Sophomore Will Minette won the 3200 meters event in 10:04.49 – 10 seconds faster than the second place finisher.
Luke Atzinger won the 110 meter hurdles in 16.02 seconds.
Saline won the 4-by-200 relay in 1:30.88 seconds.
Junior Matthew Sayre won the shot put, throwing a personal best 41-04. Grant Armstrong won the discus with a personal best 114-09.
On the girls’ side, Lauryn Hunt was a double winner. The sophomore won the 100-meter sprint in 12.98 seconds. She took the 200-meters race in 26.88 seconds.
Rebecca Cantrell won the 800-meters race (2:27.44), defeating Skyline’s Lillian Peck by just .27 seconds. Jessi Larson ran the 1600 alongside teammate Kayla Fortino and then pulled away at the end to win in 5:25.92. Larson and Fortino also went 1-2 in the 3200 meters run.
Skyline won three of the four relays. Saline’s 4-by-800 team won in 9:52.66.
Sloane Pepper won the high jump, clearing 4-07. Charlotte Peterson won the pole vault, clearing 9-0.
