The Saline High School varsity hockey team evened its record at 1-1 with a 6-3 victory against Novi Tuesday.

The Hornets built and then squandered a 3-0 lead but finished the game with three straight goals.

Brendan Murphy scored twice. Mikhail Lozovyy and Nick Miller each had a goal and an assist for Saline.

The Hornets host Forest Hills Eastern at 2:15 p.m. Saturday at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube.
