LACROSSE: Saline Opens Playoffs with 20-0 Victory

Saline rode roughshod over Huron in a 20-0 victory to open the 2018 MHSAA Lacrosse playoffs.

Chris Peters, Davis Bruneau and Gavin Klaassen each scored four goals while Tanyr Krummenacher scored twice and set up eight goals.

Mason LaFleur made several stops in goal for the shutout.

Also scoring for Saline were Liam Finnegan, Cam Crawford, Jake Leslie, George Gatecliff, Harrison Hill and Evan Peoples.

Peters scored two goals in the first 32 seconds and Saline held a 4-0 lead barely two minutes into the contest and a 9-0 lead not even half-way through the first quarter.

Saline visits Northville at 5 p.m. Wednesday for the regional semifinal. Northville handed Saline a 10-9 loss earlier this season. The winner will face the winner of the Plymouth-Canton game in the regional final, next Wednesday at 6 p.m.
