NIshioka Leads Saline to First Place at River Rat Run

The Saline boys cross country team built on their success at Portage by winning the River Rat Invitational Friday at Willow Metropark. Saline finished with just 18 points – only three away from the perfect score.

Jevin Nishioka was the winner, running in 16:11.8. He led a 1-2-3 Saline finish. Joshua Cook was second in 16:20.7 and Simon Pfeiffer was third in 16:27.7. Aidan Delfuoco was fifth in 16:43 and William Minnette was seventh in 16:49.1

Saline was fifth in the junior varsity race with 122 points. Michael Elms was Saline’s fastest runner, finishing 23rd in 19:59.8.

William Downey, 11th, Evan Bleitz, 12th, and Jack Toor, 19th, also finished in the top 20 for Saline.
