Saline's varsity girls basketball team lost at the buzzer Tuesday at Novi.
Saline led 39-37 when Novi in-bounded the basketball behind the Saline basket with 13-seconds left. The Wildcats passed the ball around the perimeter until Mikayla Lynch broke loose at the top of the arc with four seconds left. She took the pass and put up the perfect shot, which went in as the buzzer sounded. Novi won 40-39.
The Hornets wer led by Liz Sekerak, who scored a career-high 10 points. Brooke Bauer added nine points and Nicole Sweetland added eight points. Other scorers were Ella Stemmer and Leeya Lawson, four points, Erin Reilly, three points, and Asia Lindsey, one point.
