Saline Golf Team Takes 2nd at Plymouth, Stays Unbeaten in SEC

The Lady Hornets continue to roll.

Saline finished second at the Plymouth Invitational Thursday. Saline’s top four golfers finished with a score of 340 for the 18-hole tournament. Livonia Stevenson won with a score of 327..

Catherine Loftus (75) and Molly Pribble (83) made the all-tournament team. Stephanie Schick (90) and Sydney Page (92) were in the scoring. Marge Wood shot 100.

Wood’s 100 proved important. Saline and Mercy tied with a score of 340 for their top four golfers. The tie-breaker was the score of each team’s fifth-best golfer. Wood beat her Mercy counterpart by 13.

Earlier in the week Saline defeated Pioneer by 22 strokes in an SEC Red showdown.

Saline (167) had four golfers shoot 44 or better. Pioneer finished at 189.

Pribble led Saline with a nine-hole round of 40, one better than teammate Loftus. Schick shot 42 and Page shot 44 to complete the Hornet scoring. Wood (49) and Allie Cropsey (58) also golfed for Saline.

Saline also beat Skyline this week to remain unbeaten in the SEC.
