The Saline High School football team, which has won 25 straight regular season games, opens its 2017 season Aug. 24 at the University of Michigan Stadium against Rockford.
Kickoff is at 4 p.m.

Saline beat Rockford 37-24 at Saline in 2015. Last year, Saline won a 2-0 forfeit. At the time it was reported that several Rockford players had become ill.
Saline is coming off an 11-1 season. The Hornets lost in the regional final to eventual state champ Cass Tech. The Hornets haven’t lost a regular season game since falling to Mona Shores, 31-28, in 2014.
Rockford lost in the district championship, 20-3, to Grandville. Rockford’s 7-4 record was its worst since 2002.
