Saline Rowing Teams Win at State Championships

The Saline Men's Varsity 8 teams was one of two Saline teams to win at the Michigan Rowing Championships. Jacob Ball (Cox) Andrew Dame, James Kosiba, Niko Hays, Eddie Pfannes, Jack Getty, Ryan Stack, Chris Hays and Jack Winer.

Two Saline rowing teams won their races at the Scholastic Rowing Association of Michigan Championship Regatta in Grand Rapids May 20.

Overall, the Saline girls team placed third in the hunt for the state championship.

The Saline Women's Lightweight 4 team won gold. Sierra Fancher (bow), Morgan Bergren, Fay Hargrove, Emma Frick (stroke) and Sara Cook (cox) competed for Saline.

Also winning gold was the Saline Varsity Men's 8. They are Jack Wisner (bow), Chris Hays, Ryan Stack, Eddie Phannes, Jack Getty, Niko Hays, James Kosiba, Andrew Dame (stroke), and Jacob Ball (cox).

Winning Silver in the the Women's 2+ was Jocelynn Inge (bow) and Alex Wagner (stroke)

The Saline Women's Lightweight 8 finished with a bronze. They are Claire Krasko (bow), Karolina Burtell, Sara Abee, Olivia Schreiber, Sierra Fancher, Morgan Bergren, Fay Hargrove, Emma Frick (stroke), and Dane Dingman (cox). Another bronze went to the Saline Varsity Women's 2x team of Laura Penny (bow) and Rachel Ward (stroke).
