Seconds after killing off a 5-on-3 powerplay, Logan Dejanovich scored to give Saline a 4-2 lead over Livonia Churchill. That goal stood as the winner as Saline defeated Churchill 4-3 Saturday at the Ice Cube in Ann Arbor.
Saline improved to 9-1.
Brendan Murphy, Tom Raupp and Connor Wright also scored for the Hornets. Cameron Crawford stopped 14 of 17 shots.
The Hornets were down 2-1 after the first period before exploding for three goals in the second.
Raupp opened the scoring in Saline. In the second period, Murphy scored to tie the game at two. The Hornets took the lead when Wright scored on a pass from Murphy.
Churchull scored a powerplay goal and then Saline had to kill off another couple minutes of powerplay time to hold on for the win.
Saline visits the Toledo Ice House Wednesday to play Bedford.
