TENNIS: Saline Takes It Indoors to Defeat Troy Athens

Saline's varsity girls tennis team won their second straight match Saturday, defeating Troy Athens at Travis Pointe Country Club.

The match was moved indoors due to the weather.

Saline swept the singles matches.

In singles one, Andrea Teofilovic won 6-1 and 6-3. In singles two, Madison Caldwell won 6-2 and 6-4. Carly Hinter won 6-1 and 6-4 in singles three. Jenny Wolf completed the sweep by winning her singles four match, 6-0 and 6-0.

In doubles Saline took two of four.

Megan Foley and Saige Jost won 6-1 and 6-2 in the second flight. In the third flight, Nina Ellsworth and Sarah Roberts won 2-6, 6-4 and 11-9.

Zoe Ellsworth and Aly Heider lost a hard-fought first-flight match, 2-6, 6-1, and 10-7. Brooke Engelhardt and Lindsey Barba lost 6-4 and 6-4 in the fourth flight.
