The Saline football program invites sports fans and local sports supporters to the “Ultimate Tailgate Football Bash,” Saturday, March 28, at the UAW Hall, 601 Woodland Drive.

Other than one hiccup in the middle of the first quarter that resulted in the Pioneer (2-2) touchdown the Saline (3-1) defense dominated the home team in Friday’s 33-7 victory.

Saline may be have had two starting quarterbacks, but without their top two running backs, the offense was one-dimensional and struggled to sustain drives. Muskegon Mona Shores defeated Saline 31-28.

In coach Palka's second year, Saline won nine games and set a program record for points scored. But two tough losses to Bedford thwarted Hornet objectives. Despite just two returning starters on offense and a brand new offensive line, Saline takes aim at another SEC Red Championship and a long run in the playoffs.
