Now that Spring is finally here, it’s time to take advantage of the warmer weather. 

This week, our community calendar is filled with a wide assortment of entertainment -- whether it’s shopping, sports, music or a magician!  Take a look to start planning for the rest of your week.

 

Saline City-Wide Healing Service

What: A Healing Service open to anyone

When:  Friday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m.

Where:  St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 910 Austin Dr, Saline

Why: Attend for a night of music, worship, corporate prayer for healing, and individual prayer ministry.

Cost: Free

Saline Indoor Farmers’ Market

What: Saline Indoor Farmers’ Market

When: Saturday, April 28th at 9 a.m. to 12 noon

Where: Liberty School Auditorium, 7265 N Ann Arbor St, Saline, MI 48176

Why: A one-stop shop for local produce, baked goods, meats, cheese, eggs, honey, chocolates candles, jewelry and crafts.

Cost: Varies

Pitch Hit & Run

What: Youth Baseball & Softball competition, Ages 7-14.

When: Saturday, April 28th at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Montibeller Park 4305 Ellsworth Road Ypsilanti, MI 48197

Why: Register to see how fast your child can run, how accurately your child can throw strikes, and how strong your child hits from a batting tee.  There will be four levels of competition.

Cost: Free.  Pre-registration is required by April 27. Birth Certificate is required. Call 734-822-2120.

 

Buttons For A Cause @ McPherson’s Local

What: Students in Mrs. Redding’s class at Heritage Elementary will be selling their “Buttons for a Cause” pins to benefit the Humane Society. 

When:  Saturday, April 28th at 11:30 a.m.

Where:  McPherson’s Local, 105 N Ann Arbor St, Saline, MI

Why: Support young entrepreneurship and charitable giving!

Gordo The Magician @ Mancino’s Pizza

What: Gordo The Magician at Mancino’s Pizza - Avenger’s Opening

When: Saturday, April 28th at 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Mancino’s Pizza, 1323 E Michigan Ave, Saline

Why: There isn’t a better way to celebrate the Avengers: Infinity War premiere than with pizza and a magician!  Gordo the Magician provide balloon twisting and table side magic. Mancino’s pizza will also be decorated in cool Avengers gear!

Cost: No cover

Karaoke at Bridgewater Bank Tavern & Restaurant

What: Karaoke

When:  Saturday, April 28th at 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Where:  Bridgewater Bank Tavern & Restaurant, 8452 Boettner Rd, Saline MI

Why: Enjoy a night singing some of your favorite tunes!

Cost: No Cover

Sporcle Live Trivia at Oscar’s Sports & Grill

What: Sporcle Live Trivia at Oscar’s Sports & Grill

When:  Saturday, April 28th at 8 p.m. & 9 p.m.

Where:  Oscar’s Sports & Grill, 6877 State Rd, Saline

Why: It’s free to play and winners receive gift cards.

X-Golf & Rustic Glen Inside-And-Out Open

What: Golf Scramble at X-Golf & Rustic Glen

When:  Sunday, April 29th at 8 a.m. at X-Golf; Golf at Rustic Glen begins at 10 a.m.

Where:  X-Golf at 1345 E Michigan Ave, Saline, and Rustic Glen at 12090 W Michigan Ave, Saline

Why: This isn’t your typical scramble. Nine holes of golf at X-Golf Ann Arbor, located beside Emagine Theatre and nine holes of golf at Rustic Glen. 

Cost: $60/player

2 Man Skins Game Golf Scramble - Public Welcome

What: Two Man Skins Game Golf Scramble

When:  Sunday, April 29th at 9 a.m.

Where:  Stonebridge Golf Club - 1825 Clubhouse Dr Ann Arbor

Why: 18 holes with a two-man scramble format.  Registration includes 18 holes with a cart and range balls prior.  Burgers and pulled pork buffet will be available following golf, in addition to a Bloody Mary bar, Wolverine Brewing stations, and TruGolf Simulator Games.

Ann Arbor Classic Bicycle Show & Swap Meet

What: Ann Arbor Classic Bicycle Show & Swap Meet

When:  Sunday, April 29th at 8 a.m.

Where:  Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds 5055 Ann Arbor Saline Rd.

Why: More than 275 dealers will be at the 38th annual show, and last year there were more than 10,000 bicycles.

Cost: $5.  Ages 10 and under free.

AFC Ann Arbor vs Force FC - Saline Showcase

What: AFC Ann Arbor vs. Force FC - Saline Showcase

When:  Sunday, April 29th at 5 p.m.

Where:  Saline High School Hornet Stadium, 1300 Campus Parkway, Saline

Why: The Mighty Oak host Force FC in the 4th Annual Saline Showcase. Saline FC teams and a few other Saline area soccer standouts will also be honored.

Cost: No cost for those wearing their Saline FC jersey.
