Friday is Valentine’s Day. Here’s a guide to this weekend’s funso you and your valentine will love the time you spend together in Saline

Valentine’s Day at Salt Springs Brewery

What: Special Valentine’s Day Menu at Salt Springs Brewery
When: Through Saturday
Where: Salt Springs Brewery, 117 S. Ann Arbor St.
Why: Delicious, farm-to-table food. Locally brewed beers. The Valentine’s menu includes Grown Up S’mores, curried vegetable stew, tenderloin medallions, sea scallops and citrus salad.

Cost: The above items range from $8 to $26.

Pickleball!

What: Pickleball! A combination of badminton, tennis and ping pong.
When: 9 a.m., Friday
Where: Saline Area Senior Center, behind Saline Middle School
Why: Good fun and exercise, too!
Cost: $3 for members, $5 for nonmembers.

Drop In Family Story Time

What: Stories for kids, ages two and up.
When: 10:30 a.m., Friday
Where: Saline District Library, 555 N. Maple Road.
Why: Stories, songs, rhymes and simple crafts.
Cost: Free. No registration required. Just drop in.

50th Annual Train Show

What: The Ann Arbor Model Railroad Club hosts the 50th annual Train Show and Sale.
When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday.
Where: Saline Middle School
Why: There will be more than 400 tables with operating layouts, clinics by club members, dealers from around the country, raffles, food and a kids zone.
Cost: $6. Scouts in uniform and children under 10 (accompanied by adults) enter free.

League of Women Voters Orientation

What: The League of Women Voters holds an orientation session for prospective members.
When: 3 p.m., Saturday
Where: Saline District Library, 555 N. Maple Road.
Why: Find out how this 100-year old organization plans to be involved in the 2020 votes, how the league advocates for good government, and more.
Cost: No cost.

Bowling for Saline Girls Basketball

What: Support the Saline girls basketball team with a night of bowling and fun.
When: 8:30 p.m. registration, 9:30 p.m. Bowling. Saturday night.
Where: Maplewood Lanes, Saline
Why: Support Saline girls basketball while having fun bowling. Two games, pizza, soda, shoe rental and more.
Cost: $30 a player.

Brunch at Salt Springs Brewery

What: Salt Springs Brewery has new brunch hours!
When: 10:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Sundays
Where: Salt Springs Brewery, 117 S. Ann Arbor St.
Why: Brunch is served an hour earlier, featuring favorites like Brewhouse Benny (eggs benedict), pancakes, breakfast potatoes, mimosas and more.
Cost: Reserve your Table 

New Horizons Band Winter Concert

What: Winter concert by Saline’s New Horizons Band
When: 3 p.m., Sunday
Where: Saline Middle School
Why: Richard Schoenfeldt is musical director for this concert, which explores roaming the “Mitten State.”
Cost: Free

Voices of Youth Concert

What: Youth choirs from several Washtenaw Churches perform a concert with the theme, “Love Draws Us Together.”
When: 4 p.m., Sunday
Where: St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 122 W. Michigan
Why: Youth from several faith communities will perform. The audience will hear song, sacred texts, quotes and music from a variety of faith traditions - all exploring the themes and practice of love.
Cost: Free. Donations accepted.
