Kathleen Krone and Kristina Clarke were reappointed to the Saline District Library Board of Trustees for another two-year term during the Nov. 14 meeting of the Saline Area Schools Board of Education meeting. Their new terms will end Nov. 30, 2019. The school board's vote was 6-0 in favor of the reappointments (board president Tim Austin was not present at this meeting).

The board voted 6-0 to approve a resolution to impose a summer tax levy to collect all annual school property taxes
The board heard reports from the Board Policy Committee and the Board Finance Committee. Both items were for discussion only, and no vote was taken.
The board's consent agenda included approval of three field trips: Saline High School Science Olympiad trip to East Lansing April 27-29, 2018; SHS Science Olympiad trip to Centerville, Ohio Jan. 26-27, 2018; and SHS German trip to Chicago Dec. 15, 2017.
The board went into a closed session to discuss the superintendent's evaluation. The board will have one more closed session on the topic and then will make the results public in December.
The next meeting of the board of education will be 6:30 p.m. Nov. 28 in the Liberty School media center.
