A National Weather Service winter weather advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m..
More snow could fall by 8 p.m., bringing the total accumulation to 4 to 6 inches. In addition, wind gusts could cause blowing snow in open and rural areas. Expect snow-covered roads and limited visibility and use caution when driving.
Saline Fire Chief Craig Hoeft said it was a relatively quiet afternoon at the department. Hoeft said there were a few drive-offs but no major crashes. Hoeft said he was concerned about the conditions of the roads as temperatures fall tonight, and the salt becomes less effective.
