More than 1,000 Saline Area Residents Without Power

 07/26/2018 - 15:15

More than 1,000 Saline area DTE customers are without power after a thunderstorm blew through town, knocking down tree limbs and wires this afternoon. Even more customers are without power to the north and to the east.

The thunderstorm warning called for 60 MPH winds and quarter-inch hail.

Residents in the City of Saline dodged the power outages, for the most part. Residents in the Wildwood and Maplewood Farms subdivisions are without power.

Many commercial businesses along West Michigan Avenue, from Faurecia into Pittsfield Township, are without power. Most of the city core south of Saline Waterworks Road has power, according to the DTE Outage page.

There are swaths of homes without power in Lodi, York and Pittsfield Township.

According to the DTE website, the company is still investigating the reasons for the outages. No restoration estimates have been posted yet.
