Temperatures Warming, But Snow Expected as Saline Students Return to School

 01/07/2018 - 18:25

Temperatures should finally climb about the freezing point Monday. But there’s a trade-off. The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory forecasting two to four inches of snowfall by tomorrow morning. The advisory is in effect from 9 p.m. Sunday until 8 a.m. Monday morning.

The snowfall comes just as Saline Area Schools students return to school after their winter break.

According to the NWS, drivers should be prepared for travel difficulties including snow-covered roads, and limited visibility. Drivers are urged to use caution.

The high is expected to reach 36 Monday.

The temperature is expected to reach 41 Wednesday, with a chance of rain and sleet. Thursday’s high is forecast at 50 degrees. Temperatures are expected to fall over the weekend with a high of 22 Saturday and 16 Sunday.
