The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory which will be in effect from 10 p.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Sunday.
Temperatures are expected to fall between zero and 10 degrees below zero. Wind chills are expected to fall to as low as -15.
The cold wind chill can cause frost bite in as little as 15 minutes, according to the NWS.
People outdoors are advised to cover their skin and to wear a hat and gloves.
According to the NWS the arctic air is expected to remain in the region through the upcoming week, which will likely lead to more wind chill advisories.
