Administrator Contracts, Class Size, Board Ethics on School Board Agenda

 

The Saline Board of Education meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night at Saline Middle School.

Here’s what’s on the agenda:

The board is expected to consider a recommendation to approve two-year contracts with the Saline Area Schools Directors Association and the Saline Area Schools Administrative Association.

Mrs. Gold, Mrs. Dicksen and Mrs. Faulkner will address the board about third grade class size at Woodland Meadows Elementary School.

Tiffany Small, the Pittsfield Township Police Officer who is the resource officer at Saline High School, will present a scheduled report to the board.

Saline Middle School Principal David Raft will give a scheduled report to the board.

The board will consider a recommendation to approve a municipal bond derivative settlement with Wachovia Bank.

Board President Lisa Slawson will lead a discussion on “board ethics.”

Superintendent Scot Graden will lead a discussion on the upcoming Strategic Planning Process.

Assistant Superintendent Steve Laatsch will lead a discussion on board policy.

The board, via the consent agenda, is expected to approve:

The FFA trip to Indianapolis Oct. 23-27 for the national convention.

The German Exchange student trip to Niagara Falls, Canada, Oct. 16-17.

Tenure for high school teacher Robert Readies.
